Z4m front bumper

Looking to buy a z4m front bumper, my grill clips have shattered and are no longer holding in place.

Technically you should be able to order a new one, will likely take 4-6 weeks.

Yes that was my estimate from BMW classic directly little while back. Obviously as the queue builds up that can extend the timeline.

Yes I had been emailing with someone from that group in prior months. Updates were posted here:

If it was me I would buy a normal Z bumper and harvest the grill frames. It is not hard, but not straight forward either. This things are just more readily available and they are 1600 according to BMW. You can order, but there is no promised ETA

Or even better, if someone 3d printed a set. One member did so little while back but was hesitant sharing the files because then were not perfect.

I broke my clips too. Thinking of a 3d printed solution. Need to design something. Planning to get a 3d scanner and we'll see how fast I can learn to reverse engineer things. No promises though. From what I have seen you can probably make some sort of inserts with a new tongue/clip part that will attach with epoxy.

3d printing is something I would settle for, im not a big fan of tape or gluing them in place as I feel like the car doesn’t deserve a fix like that 😥.

I might harvest some from a normal z4 and have a friend 3d scan them for me. Maybe then I can mock something up or share the scans with you guys. Im not the greatest with CAD.

I had an issue with one of the tabs and I was able to salvage it with some epoxy and a donor tab from another plastic part. will post a photo later tonight.
