Sept/Oct 2013 Picture of the Month - Extended! Due October 27
This month (September) completely got away from me. So, September and October will be combined into a single contest. The deadline is 6PM PDT on October 13 (now extended to October 27).
The POTM seen some requirement changes based on input and refinements by POTM participants over the past few months. The objective of these changes are to improve the picture quality (larger size, decrease compression issues). Picture dimensions have been revised to a max of 1024x768 (filesize of up to 900kb using JPG). Pictures can use smaller edge sizes, this is simply the maximum size.Photo Submission Requirements
PicMonkey.com - Free Web-Based Photo editor. Provides access to simple adjustments (crop, exposure, resizing, etc.) as well an array of filters. No accounts necessary, beginner friendly. Access Page here. Gimp - Free Program for Windows, Linux & OSX offering a wide variety of capabilities. Download here. Windows Photo Gallery - - Free photo editing application made by Microsoft, providing editing, organizing and social capabilities. Download here. Picasa - Free photo editing application made by Google, providing editing, organizing and social capabilities. Download here. As always, follow good practices and make sure you know to confirm that the download is virus and spyware free (run a scan before installing and when downloading). FAQ 1) Can we photoshop pictures? Yes but anything so drastic where the photo just looks unrealistic isn't what this thing is about. Either way, the way I see it is that members will vote based on what they think really captures the essence of the car.2) Can we submit multiple photos per entry? No, only one picture per month, but you are allowed to participate in multiple months.3) Why the post count requirement? Zpost is a forum/community where member participation is encouraged. However, exceptions will be made on case by case basis depending on one's contributions (i.e. technical guides, DIYs, etc.). Last edited by Finnegan; 10-23-2013 at 07:26 PM.. |

I thought we already had a winner?
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7403/1...e36914d1_h.jpg It was unanimous. You can't compete with that. It's a gun at a knife fight. Last edited by seank; 10-20-2013 at 10:01 PM.. |

Reminder, submissions are due Sunday, October 27 6 PM Pacific Time.
As far as that shot, the shot owner has to actually submit it. Where's the OP? I don't mind PM them to get their permission to submit if for them, but I'm not just grabbing someone's photo and submitting it. Wouldn't be fair to other entries nor to them (feel I should ask permission before entering something that's not mine in a contest). |
