A lap of the VLN Nurburgring circuit...

Thought I'd share this with you all, even though a lot won't on here won't get to drive the circuit, I'm fairly certain you all know about it.

I was over at the 'Ring this Easter weekend and attended a trackday on the 3rd April. This is probably one of the better (and certainly quieter laps) I had whilst on the day. This was a closed circuit trackday, and we were lucky enough to get to run on the VLN circuit, which takes in the GP Sprint layout, and the Nordschleife combined.

If you really want to drive the 'Ring, a trackday really is the best way to do it. As you can see, the number of cars, and the length of circuit, mean you almost get the track to yourself at times, and being a closed trackday rather than a public TF day, there are no 3rd party insurance worries.

Anyway, enjoy...

... oh and in case you were wondering, yes that is snow at the side of the circuit in places. Air temperature was around 3C, and track temps borderline freezing!

Awesome! Where do i get the info for trackdays? I went on the 7th and it was PACKED. Open day plus it was the first actual NICE day of the year so far. trying to go this weekend too.

Safe but fast drive, I enjoyed it. Do you "blip" the throttle on down shifts?

Thanks. It was great to have such a clear track (although it is also fun to have a bit more traffic around to play with!).

And yes, I'll heal and toe to match the revs under braking to keep the car balanced into corners.
