**Important Update** Innotech Exhaust
Let us start off by saying that Innotech offers a great product, which is why it saddens us to announce that we can no longer continue business with them. Recent lack of communication and rumors of a 40% retail price hike leave us no other choice.
Rimier Motor Sport has been working with Innotech Exhaust since the beginning. We were the first US company to import them and did a lot of R&D for their E90/E92 systems. All was well at the beginning. We had open lines of communication and frequently spent late night hours on the phone with them discussing how they can improve the product and the brand. As some of you may know, Innotech is not the manufacturer. The systems are made for them by JIM Tech in Taiwan. JIM Tech also makes exhaust systems for Fabspeed, Agency Power, Cargraphic and a few other brands using very similar designs. We knew this going in, but figured it would be much easier dealing with Innotech since the price was right, the communication was good and they had already developed a brand name. Unfortunately, for reasons unbeknownst to us, Innotech has stopped responding to our emails and phone calls. Maybe it has do with us telling them that a 40% price increase will not go over well with US customers, and that we will not be able to sell their products at such a high price. Not sure, but it's unfortunate that they have sacrificed a business relationship with the company that put them on the map. |

So the Innotech F1 will now be around $8,700?? This is interesting news. PYSpeed is supposed to be their master distributor now and they have a shipment of exhausts waiting to clear customs at the port right now (my exhaust being one of them).
Maybe innotech is trying to shaft you guys at Rimier MotorSport and have only one distributor.

Sorry to hear about that John.
But not too sorry for them, they knocked off some of our designs. However we weren't too upset because we later found out that those designs that Ipe copied from us were causing problems for the car anyway.

It's a shame given all the help we provided Innotech in getting their brand up and moving. I've spoken to Eric at PY more than once regarding Innotech and the market share. However, during our last conversation he was very coy. So there may be something going on we're unaware of. In any case, this is not how we do business. We are very open and honest with our customers and strive to provide the best service possible. Innotech is simply no longer a fit within these practices. We have been in contact with Innotech, but any time other than when we're sending them money, the communication is so poor that we cannot continue to support their brand... and with a greedy 40% price increase, we can no longer justify their products as good value for money when compared to the likes of Kreissieg and others. |

A hike in an already overpriced exhaust...it's good that they are gone.

What design did they copy from? You are a small company that I doubt they even know about being in Taiwan. It's easy to say someone copied you on a design of an exhaust. There are only a certain amount of ways you can design an exhaust for this car. AFAIK, no one else has the same x-pipe as them (Talking about F1 system).

I didn't know it was a cheap Taiwanese setup. Glad I know now. No way would I spend that kind of money on something like that. They price it like it's titanium.

You'd be surprised at how many well respected exhaust system brands are made in Taiwan. JIM Tech makes OE systems as well. |

There are plenty of ways to design a system for this car. Their F1 system sports a typical industry termed x-pipe. The system does not have a true x-pipe. What they copied is not something that needs to be discussed on the forums, so if you would like to know, you could PM me.
