as you can see our cars are well built, compared to civics.

Wow the Civic damage, looks like it hit a wall & your M doesn't look bad at all.
...glad that you are OK.

Looks like he was on his cell phone!
Glad you're okay. Damage to your M isn't that bad compared to his car. You must have been in N and been launched forward? |

WOW estimate damage on the M: a carwash. LOL. Looks like nothing is out of shape. Glad you're ok and the ride should be returned to you shortly

Its not unusual for the the car behind you to get that damaged in a rear end collision, expecially if he's heavy on the brakes, and his bumper hits below yours. Someone rear ended my 1993 infiniti J30, TOTALLED his car, and I only had scratches, and a bent exhaust tip. Bumper wasn't even mis-aligned

Crazy....Luckily it was a civic and not a F150! Hope everyone escaped unharmed.
Make sure none of your rear control arms got bent! (as did mine when i got rear ended) |

Agreed on the F-150. Been there, done that. Funny how getting rear-ended at a stoplight will make you KEENLY more aware of the placement of your Z while waiting for the light to change. I leave a ton more room in front of me when I stop now. Getting crunched from behind and pushed into a car ahead got me 6 weeks driving a Corolla. Never again!!

sorry to hear. Hopefully there is nothing wrong under all of the body panels on the Z4. Looks to me like both cars did what they were supposed to do in this case. the Honda looks like the car should after it absorbs the force of the quick stop without transferring all of that jarring to the seating area.

Seriously, your car does not look bad at all. Hopefully you do not have any neck injuries. Cars are supposed to crumple on impact for a reason!
Definitely let us know how this turns out!
