Z4 M Coupes at their first track day of the year!

Just a couple pics of my brothers car and mine at the Schattenbaum PCA 2 day track day at NJMP. We both picked up a set of Apex ARC-8 wheels in 9.5F/10R and APR splitters. Both are great mods and money very well spent. Now I just gotta get on getting the rest of the spring mods bought and installed! It really is a never ending battle.

Sorry bud! Think about what its like living with another M Coupe. The mods go tit for tat! I can't have him having something I don't have.

Thanks! The wheels have actually got us both thinking of selling our 19s and buying a second set of ARC-8s for the street. They look sooooo dammm good!

The splitter is something that is super hard to photograph. I didn't like the look of it on other cars before I go mine. I got it for the performance aspect first and formost but once I put it on I feel in love! I will try and get some better pics of it.

In short... I think they are ugly as sin! Also it is PLENTY strong enough with out the struts. I was hitting 140mph over and over all weekend and not once did anything adverse happen. We are also both running a larger splitter then what was offered in the group buy

I imagine there must be some rubbing in the front with those wheels and how low you guys are running? Lol

But I must say, they do both look beautiful and the grip with the 9.5s in the front is awesome.

What tires and what sizes if you don't mind me asking?

Only rubbing in the rear and only on some of the super long constant radius corners at NJMP where it really loads the suspension up something serious! That will be fixed with the new 750lbs rear springs I just picked up. My brothers car, which is set up pretty much identical to mine pulled 1.2g's on one of those corners. That is some serious grip! And he wasn't on the limit yet!

Tires on the wheels are Toyo R888 rcomps in 255/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. The 255 front is the only way to go on these cars! Well unless you can figure a way to stuff a 265 or 275 in there.

R888 is a great tire. Must be awesome, can't imagine 750 springs, lol. Do you drive your cars on the street? We couldn't do that here, back would be broken after one trip!

Did you have to run a spacer in the front to clear the strut?

Cars look great, Super Mean!

It's funny what a few thousand miles makes, you guys are just now getting your first track days in, and here in the South we'll park the cars for the summer in 1-2 months. It's been a blast the past few months though squeezing as many days as we can in before 100+ degree days, anxious for my Apex wheels to show up!

Nah you can drive it around in the GTA... I did with the 650lbs springs. Just gotta stay off of bloor. Bad part is my friends live right off bloor.

Yes I do a 5mm spacer in the front but I could avoid running the spacer if I switched to a 5" rear spring instead of the 6"

Thank you Sir for the kind words! Your first ///M was an inspiration.

Yep it NEVER ends! I bought this car at first saying that I wa geting an ///M so I didn't have to mod it. That lasted one month!

No you don't. If we are on the track and he is faster then me or vice versa then we know its not the car but instead the driver that is slow. Since we ultra competitive that mean he slower driver has to deal with the $hit talking afterward.

I wish I had that problem! You will love the wheels.... transformed the car! It makes a noticable difference in handling, braking and acceleration.

Very nice. Just a visual perception but the white looks smaller than the blue. I know that's not the case.

Where did you get the front skid guards?

Best regards
