The M is Back!! Pictures of Repair, Mods and Desert Run!! M Coupe
Picked up my car Friday afternoon and drove out to Palm Springs for a weekend with the family. Had the front bumper replaced, front fender replaced and right headlight replaced. The headlight was just over $1000 !!!
Nathan at C and C was more than helpful, and I am amazed with the quality of the work. I also had my tailights tinted (1 shade, think c63 style) lightly and all the reflectors painted. I found a couple canyon roads while I was in the desert as well, tell me what you think! http://www.flickr.com/photos/jbsoxb/5424125230/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/jbsoxb/5423523735/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/jbsoxb/5423524015/ A more accurate depiction of the tint (and painted rear reflectors :redspot) http://www.flickr.com/photos/jbsoxb/5424512062/ I also happened to visit Mexico while I was down there in the desert. iphone held on by rubberband around the nav lol cruising in canyon traffic, 2-5k rpm

So weird that our cars had the same damage at the same time. Yours is lookin great! I'm definitely copying your tint if you don't mind . Should've gotten the reflectors done too, but had them do Piano Black inside.

Cool pictures. Glad you're back on the road.
By coincidence I did a desert trip this past weekend too. 250 miles each way to Amboy Crater. 7 hours of driving for 2 hours of hiking - I must love to drive that damn car (only a non-M, but at least I averaged 34 mpg on the trip). |

Hey! I've been on those roads too, up the mountain going south from Palm Springs, for at least some of them, right? We also drove around the wind turbines too, we were heading back west from Joshua Tree and went through the wind mill farms.
Great pics - you really get the feel of what it's like out there. I wish ours were that good looking back toward Palm Springs.
