Help needed plz! X6 options unknown

Hi all,

I am new to this board.

I just purchased X6 35i in Asia.

I ordered 16-speaker stereo system;

the dealer refused to give me the order document of my car.

The sound quality isn't good at all.

So I have no idea if my car has the option or not?

could any one please check the options of my car with my last 7-digit vin number?

Don't know if this will help. I have an 09 3.5 with the "Premium Sound Package". I can only find 9 speakers, two in each door and one on center in front of the "I Drive" screen. However, the package includes an "iPod and USB adaptor in the center console arm rest and a "6-Disc DVD Changer" in the glove box. I don't know if I'm supposed to have 16 speakers or not. It sounds good to me, but of course, I'm old and half deaf. I won't have a clue on how to check your options with your VIN. Good luck.

Well, I extracted my cranium from my rectum and went to the BMW USA "build your own" web site. There is a small picture of the system there. Found two square sub woofers under each front seat and two more speakers in each of the rear sloping roof posts. That makes 15....? Ahh, there are two on the instrument panel..16.

I would contact BMW Asia directly about this, your dealer should give you all paper work,in some countries it's the law. If the dealer will not give you the paper work there are bigger problems ahead.

you should have 9 locations... 7 are speakers with tweeters (counts as 14)

and two subs under your front seats...(totaling 16 speakers)

plus the 600 watt amp in the rear left trunk compartment..

for those without the premium sound, you only get 7 locations...(no rear pillar speakers) 5 are speakers with tweeters (counts as 10) and the two subs under the front seats (totaling 12 speakers) and the 205 watt amp in the rear compartment...

Thanks guys!! I will try sending message to BMW Asia. It has been 2 months since I got my car.
I counted mine I think mine has premium sound system. However, I just can't feel the subwoofers. I could not see it under my front seats.
