The brighter side of AI

I asked AI if a frog’s ass is water tight. Here’s the reply:

Yes, a frog's anal area (cloaca) is generally watertight, as it acts as a sealed, single opening for waste, reproduction, and specialized urination. While their skin is highly permeable and absorbs water, they do not constantly leak. The phrase is sometimes used colloquially as a metaphor for a tight seal.

I diagnosed a hydronic heating system problem and AI nailed it.

It makes fake viral videos that aren't real.

Hum...

why do people ask if a frogs ass is watertight.

AI response.

People ask if a "frog's ass is watertight" (or similar variations like "tighter than a frog's ass") as a colorful, idiomatic way of saying "yes," especially in response to a question that should be self-evident.

I continue to get a kick out of over-the-top AI videos like Bigfoot. Cracks me the heck up.

I've used AI for IT-related troubleshooting for one-off stuff, and it has helped me tremendously.

However, my concern is that someone has to put the information out there who actually knows what they're doing and/or has the correct answer. Bad information into AI = bad information out. Becoming overreliant on AI, where we cease to function until a chatbot tells us what to do, removes our critical thinking skills. I'm all for efficiency and removing some manual processes, but we all have "those people" who barely convert oxygen to brain function and will likely wither away if AI is suddenly unavailable or provides wrong information.

Which is WHY it’s not AI. It doesn’t think and can’t conceptualize, it’s simply Cliff Notes searching handed to you. That’s all, NOTHING more. People just don’t get that.
