Linea Corse Lamans
Thinking about running the Linea Corse Lamans setup on my 08 M coupe, On their website they offer different offset choices:
19x8.5 ET30 19x10 ET 37 http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=5475 and 19x8.5 ET30 19x10 ET22 http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=5646 Can someone tell me which would be a better fit for my stock suspension'd M coupe? thanks |

Here are some comparisons between stock and the new setup. I made some educated guesses as to the tires involved. Note that the front tire size I used (255/35) on the new rims is a touch taller (0.3%) than stock although negligible...and the new rear tire height (295/30) is identical to stock. (I have no idea if these tire sizes are even available)

You can afford an M-coupe and you can't afford authentic BBS wheels?
You realize those replica's weigh 35lbs right? If you don't know what this means do a search on unsprung weight. Seriously I don't get all those who put cheap replicas on their $40k~50k cars. Just get the real thing and don't get it at all. |

jragan, thanks for looking up that info on the website
Z4HN, thanks for your input. From what I understand these rims are ~ 24 lbs front & ~ 27.5 rear VS ~21 lbs front & ~24 on the BBS LM. Stock rims weight in at ~ 24.6 lbs front & ~ 25.7 lbs rear. So it isn't as big a difference you make it out to be. If you have information showing otherwise, it would be greatly appreciated. Quote:

You're wrong. BBS LM's weigh 24~25lbs. Those fakes weigh 30~35lbs. |

Your right, the weights I posted were for the BBS LM 18" wheels, tirerack states 24~25 for 19" BBS LM's. As for the replica weight, this is where I got my info: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...2&postcount=11 I also found similar information on a different forum, but i'm not sure what the rules are on posting links to other boards, so I won't post. |
