BMW OEM Ipod Interface

Had my dealership install the OEM Ipod Interface but did not get an owners manual. Anybody have a link to where I can find one?

This is probably the worst integration I've seen.

It supports only 5 playlist. The playlists must be named BMW1, BMW2, aso.

The radio preset buttons 1 to 5 represent the 5 playlists, preset 6 plays them randomly.

Waste of money, imho!

thanks for the explanation. I bought a car with the interface preinstalled and didn't know how to change the playlist without unpluging the ipod and doing it manually.
It would be a bigger waste of money if the premium hifi system wasn't such a POS.
As it is, the sound is so bad, the fiddle with the ipod, doesn't seem out of step.

Mudring,
It seems the owners manual is out of print as my dealer wasn't able to order one for me when I installed my interface. You can find a scanned copy of the manual here http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...63&postcount=2

You can add a charge converter on the end of the cable to allow for usb charging. When I added the Specdock to my OEM interface, it included the option of adding a charge converter which went inline between the OEM cable and the Specdock cable.

I think this is very similar to the one that was included http://indashpc.org/new/accessories/charger-3gcr.html

It works just fine with my iPhone 4.
