WTB: S65 Engine
Hi Guys, I bought an 08' M3 DCT with a rod bearing failure. So I'm looking for a good running S65 engine with less than 55k miles. I would prefer an engine that is local, but would not mind getting one shipped. Any help is appreciated. Location: Pasadena, CA Thanks, Hovig |

Luckily, S65's have been dropping in price.
Check this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-BMW-M3-...EAAOSw4A5YnAsx It's $7599 or best offer... offer him $6500

Thanks guys. I am working on an engine right now which will be available later this week.
FWIW- I find that the only S65's dropping in price are high milers, ones with questionable history or that have been sitting for a long time subjected to the elements. For quality running engines and those with known good history or paper trail, you will still pay a good amount for. I go through the engines I sell to inspect/test them, install new gaskets, and upgrade rod bearings to BE and ARP bolts. I do these things as a preventative measure to ensure smooth sailing for the next owner, and they always sell for a slight premium. |
