Lux Angel Eyes v5

I recently purchased the V5 version of the lux angel eyes, adjustable box and all. Now I am a bit conflicted on what setting to use as I do not want to blind other drivers. Does anyone with these have any information on what is the highest setting I could use without bothering others?

As far as I understand, the adjustability of the bulbs is in temperature. So, I don't think increasing the setting/ temperature will blind oncoming drivers. It's up to you for your preferred color or temperature.

^ this

The settings change color, not intensity.

I was confused on this too, but it's just a day light running light. It doesn't illuminate anything in front of it besides maybe a couple feet - it just illuminates itself and the optic tubes that the bulb goes in. You want the absolute brightest possible!

Again... the switches change color... not light intensity.....

Well that's good to know. Thanks. My next question is does changing the LED color also change the color of the headlights? For instance if I used 12k for blue rings would that make my headlights blue as well?

Lol no. How would that even happen? The low beam headlight bulbs are totally separate...

I've only had the car about a week. Haven't had a chance to dig around too much, too cold/rainy outside.

Keep the color closer to 5-6k if you want them to match

I recently purchased the same v5 and have mine set at the second setting, I believe 5200-5300. In my opinion once you start going higher than that they begin to have a noticeable blue tint.

After much knuckle scraping goodness I got them in. Lights look great. But now I have this weird glare from the lights on the inside of the actual housing. Sort of looks like the angel eye is projecting itself onto the plastic piece that covers the housing. Is that normal? Not sure if the original halogens were just so dull in color that it was not visible, or new ones are just so bright that it has some weird effect.
