E90 M3 is the best sedan ever
So I'm about to turn 27, getting a promotion, raise, and a big bonus. More than enough saved for this car. I've been through a few from 300zx TT to B6 S4, C43 AMG, FX45 etc...
I've officially determined, you can't argue with me, that the E90 M3 is the best performance sedan hands down. The car will place high in every category and wins best overall. Price, performance, styling, etc... Can't wait to get one. Taking my time. Price point of these cars dropped recently making it really affordable having 15k to be put down. Only looking to spend 26k though. I own a IS300 that I will just keep as my daily until I get the M where I want it/don't want to put miles on it. Wish me luck! |

Nice choice! I agree with your assessment...if you can raise a few more $$$, look at the 2011 w/comp package...IMHO it will be the one that future buyers will want...
Good luck! |

I agree. I own an 08 and after doing the rod bearing service i feel this car will last for many years to come. I dont see the need to spend 10-15 grand more for a 2011. Get a clean 08, do the rod bearings, do the LCI retrofit, CIC retrofit and basic suspension upgrades and youll come out cheaper. Exactly what i did with my 08. It doesnt matter what mileage you purchase at, your new M3 will still need the bearing service, so you might as well save alittle and buy an 08-09.

Who cares? Why do you go into a purchase worrying about what it's gonna be worth when you sell it? Cars are 99% of the time a losing investments. Why not just buy a car that works for you, your budget and your aesthetic requirements? I mean sure, you can spend 10 grand more and get a 2011 with lower miles... but thats the difference between $450 a month and $650 a month, for basically the exact same thing. They all have the same problems regardless of year. Fuck resale value and buy the car to enjoy it. |

Personally, I would buy the newest one with the lowest mileage you can afford. I'd target 2009 and newer.
Regarding the best sport sedan ever, the e39m is right up there with the e90m on my list. |

I both agree and disagree. IF the OP has a budget, he has to get the most car he can in his budget... If that's an 08 with high miles, then so be it. He can add any features he wants later, like the combox and CIC navi. Besides that's fun in itself.

Besides the tail lights, and the navi, and combox, there is no difference between an 08 and a 2011. Im not disagreeing with you, but you have to look at it that way too

I have had my e90 M3 for a while now and she still puts that same smile on my face as the day I picked her up from the dealership.
Did some power slides with her the other day, and man this car never gets old to me! Good luck OP. |

I'm a young guy (28). Bought my 2010 E90 M3 as my daily driver as I'm starting the whole family life. It's an incredible car that I plan on owning till the wheels fall off.

Couldnt agree with you more as it'll definitely be a great daily. I found my 08 a few months back for $34.5, only had 21k miles on it too. DCT, slicktop, non EDC/iDrive, full leather. Completely stock...until I got a hold of it lol...
