what is the yellow connection for?

Can someone tell me what the smaller yellow connection on the left is used for? This is a seat from a 2011 E93 M3?

I don't think so

Here's the issue. I was given seats from a '11 E93 M3 donor that I was planning on putting in my '08 335 however the connection under the seat of my car does not have that extra yellow connection and I have heated seats with memory (sport seats (see pic below).

I am sure if I do not plug something into that space I will trigger a warning light on the dash.

That is a thought.

I am hoping that's what it's for because I think that can be coded out so I do not get any warning lights.

Yellow connectors are used to indicate connectors for the SRS system (I.e. airbags). They are colored yellow so as to warn you that it could be dangerous to hook them up with power on as it could set off an explosive charge.
