DCT M3 or 6 speed 135i
I'm debating on a DCT e92 m3 or a 6 speed 135i.
Iv been searching for a couple months now, and I really want a 6 speed m3. But its been hard finding a clean one. I need to get a car soon. What would you guys choose? |

Keep searching for that clean 6 speed. You'll find one. If not local look at other states. The V8 is lovely. Came from the in line 6 e46 m3. I love this v8

I had (2) 135's. While they are a blast to drive, it's not in the same league as an e92 M3. You'll never hear anyone say, "Gee, I wish I could sell my M3 to go back to my 135".
Be patient. Two months is still a long time. You'll find her.

I like the N54 version of the 135i, meaning 08-10 and maybe the "is" model in 11. But I agree with patiently looking for the 6 speed M3 if that is what you want, and expanding your search to within 1500 miles or even nationwide.

Have you driven both a 6MT and DCT E9X M3 yet? If not, I'd do that first thing.
I had a near FBO 6MT 09 135i and really enjoyed it, but it's nothing like the M3 (DCT - Didn't want 6MT) and falls short in literally every category outside of the size difference to me (I enjoyed the smaller overall size).

I don't know how far your search extends, but 2 months seems like plenty as long as you're willing to travel/ship. E92 6MT's aren't that rare.

To the OP.... having owned both a DCT E90 and a 6MT E90 M3, you cannot go wrong either way. IF you truly want a 6MT, be patient and shop. I got lucky with mine as it came up for sale at the exact right time when I needed to buy another M3.
