If talking about the top vents and you don't want warm air through those just dial the little red/blue dial to blue :-)

I agree. Some cars run warm like the Cayman for example. I think the e90 m3 runs hotter than most cars and somehow that heat makes it into the cabin so running AC is the norm for me.

My 335i does appear to run warm dialed in at 60/blue since new. My M3 does not.
Seems to be a hit and miss on the E9x platform.

Mine seems fine temp wise both in summer and winter, however my fan speed always seem to be running a few notches too high when in auto mode on the lowest fan setting. I have to go to manual mode to get it to slow down.

Warm air through the vents? Not when the A/C is turned on (11 months a year here).
