I do like that color Matt. Maybe take a page out of Beedub and dubsesd book and add a similar colour motorsport sticker to the skirts to tie them in

White and blue was always a great color combo, it's a pain to keep clean though

Far out Matt!! thats one heck of an update..
Number 1, the Tune.. which specific one is it? and is it a self upload one? From the little bit I've read, what don't you like about it? is the the top end, power down or the actual power delivery through the range? Butt dyno not happy? how did that process go? read out your ecu, send file to Evolve? get file back and re-upload to ecu. any errors? any changes, i.e. exhaust, cams, intake?? or stock? love your updates man, keep em coming

I will just leave this here:
300+ mi on Evolve tune Run 1 + 2 = Evolve Tune Ran OE tune for approximately 5-6 varied dyno pulls before reaching these numbers Run 10 + 11 = OE Tune I expect the AFR on the OE tune would calm down a bit after further adapting and I also feel I may gain more HP there as well. This was only after a number of pulls while Evolve recommends a minimum of 15 miles, other recommend more. Contacted Evolve, we'll see what they say. The shop had a couple ideas what was going on but we'll see what Evolve thinks. Same plot, sans AFR:

personally i don't think evolve have ever had a handle of tuning the z4m..... Way to many issues uncertified or left silent with no answer, great company but i wouldnt use them for my tuning needs on the e85/6 platform.

On the upside, Evolve already got back to me and sent me another tune file to try out. For what it's worth, one idea is that it's ignition related, in part due to the stock tune landing low and due to an awkward fluttering the car saw on the dyno under certain loads. Plugs were just changed out around 13-14k mi ago though, so I'm left scratching my head a bit. Otherwise, possible issue with coils or MAF perhaps? Only time (and some switching out of parts) will tell.

That's very unfortunate to read. I'm sorry you're having troubles with a tune. I'm actually scared about the Epic tune for the same exact reasons but I'm also attempting to remove my forward O2s. There's always a matter of trust with each of these and I suppose gains have to be a surprise rather than an expectation, which seems wrong, but unfortunately the truth.
I hope they get you sorted out, at least you should get some awesome vids on the Dyno!

On a side note you're right, I'll have time for more pics/vids on the dyno. I accidentally deleted the one video I took so looking forward to more. In the usual interest of keeping things interesting :

I was extremely tempted to work with TTFS, but I heard that all of their correspondence was really tough to work with. I have a friend with an E46 M3 that had to do quite a bit on his own just to get his inspection done and a new tune slapped together with his n^th exhaust set up. Now he may be more of a drama kinda guy and hyped it up but he doesn't normally complain a whole lot. That kind of scared me as well.
The reason I went with Randy's (Epic) was because he had the most straight forward and easiest to work with O2 delete. Everyone else you can ask and they'll do it, but they didn't like doing it. At least that's what I received feedback wise when I was calling around last year and I hit just about everyone I can think of. I hope you see the gains you want out of this tune, I'll be looking forward to all your dyno runs and vids to come. It will be interesting to see what you can morph it into!

My buddy has their CSL intake on his m coupe and it is a nice quality piece so they do make good stuff. Their tunes just suck and they dont seem to want to fix them. EPIC makes a great tune for our cars (friend has it on his m coupe with the CSL intake) and I have never had problems with my ESS tune.

Matt, I am sure this will work out mate, Give Imrahn a shout and ask him to help you out. I hear they are pretty good now after sorting out the heel toe issue they had on their alpha -N (this is the main reason I went with Randy from Epic, that and their tune (A-N) is race proven and also proven to work in hot arizona temps (i read Dubai)) (as far as i know its been sorted so good things from Evolve.
Just work with them Matt, I am sure they will come to the party and sort it out mate. Esp as you've gotten hard data that something is amiss. Very nice picture of your car on the dyno btw Edit, after re-reading your upper post, Please don't go looking for a scape goat in your car mate, if your car is doing what it should under stock tune, and then down on power on Evolve, i would say pretty much its gotta be the tune mate.. Don't go changing a whole bunch of stuff chasing a red haring (fish thingy mate) <-- not really sure how you spell that. (car throwing any codes before/after tune?) thing is id be willing to say to them "Sure ill change it, but in the end if that issue wasn't it, ill pass on the cost of those parts back to you). and thats the AWESOME thing of doing a dyno, how've got hard figures irrespective of the tune. so please Matt, get /Them/ to sort it from their end.. (any headway on the new tune file?)

I emailed them when I got home from the dyno, already had the new tune next morning, they were very fast on that! Still need to run it in more on the car, will probably dyno within the next couple weeks. I did also pull one of my plugs to take a peak, a bit more oily than I'd expect but not bad. Might replace those & clean the MAF, that never hurts. New plate has been in for a while, but just snapped a pic today. Kind of feels like my car is cursed (always things going wrong) and also feels like I'm always saying "cursed z!" when I run into issues, so I thought this would be fun. A friend of mine has a dark blue built Z32 Nissan who also has continual problems. He also got "CURSEDZ"

Took a few months away from focusing on the Z. Current iteration of the tune I have feels decent but might be lacking up top, dyno will tell though.
Have a few things on my checklist I need to take care of, will probably only update this thread with the fun ones: -Install new post-cat o2 sensors -Adjust re-route of post-cat o2 sensors -Install some temporary cats for smog -Get car smogged -Oil change + replace oil temp sensor + oil analysis -New wheels or refinish wheels to a darker color (undecided) -New lug nuts -Install carbon exhaust tips onto the Rogue cans -Install Hamann bumper w/gloss black grills -Full buff & polish + interior/exterior detail Needless to say, I am damn excited to switch up the look of the car. I was never happy with the Rieger bumper fitment or details, so I will definitely be letting that go for cheap.

Haven't updated this one in a while. Where to begin? I've had some issues with smog, but am currently awaiting a new rear o2 which should allow me to pass with some custom cats installed. I'm back in full-fledged modding mode and it feels good I'll just include random updates this time around with some solid inspiration at the end:
I left my car with a buddy to do some work on it (one of which was swapping cats to pass smog). At one point while removing the front bumper to adjust my headlight positioning, I was absolutely shocked with what I saw! My oil cooler looked like a flippin' rainbow! I'm not sure if it was a previous owner or shop that did this but I knew it would have to be replaced immediately. Who knows how long I was driving around like this for! I couldn't find any good aftermarket options so ordered OEM. Took a couple weeks to get here from Germany. Found this May 2006 Automobile magazine when cleaning up for a move. It reminded me I have a Z4M at a buddy's place that had been somewhat neglected. Time to kick things back into gear... After having temp gauge issues FOREVER, I finally researched and ended up ordering a brand new alternator. I fixed the issue, no more temp gauge falsely maxing out! Details can be found here ->http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1047053 I ended up test fitting the Hamann bumper before bringing the car to the shop. I had seriously considered a full respray of the car (Porsche 2D8 "Green" or the Porsche 22S "Signal Green") but opted to hold off for now. I'll be staying Interlagos for the time being and by doing so, have freed up funds for other fun mods/toys My Mangowalk antenna had deteriorated into very bad condition. I've been meaning to replace it and finally placed the order for the OEM stubby antenna. I absolutely love this piece. I purchased a Porsche 996 brake retrofit (sans front rotors) from a forum member and was concerned upon receiving the package. The bottom was falling out! Luckily the contents seemed fine. Rebuild kits ordered, the front and rear calipers should be out to powder coat within the next week or so! Thanks to some random bushings from the autoparts store I can can now open my trunk all the way with the hardtop installed! For those of you who don't know, BMW used to manufacture stoppers but I was unable to find the correct info on purchasing this new, it appears as thought he PN has been discontinued. These makeshift bushings work well, I will create another thread to help others out soon. Among other odds and ends, I've also got one of these on the way to help keep temps cool, thanks to crfine88's thread. Lastly, I'll just leave some recent shots of the SK Feed E85 Z4M. I won't be anywhere near this aggressive, their aero setup is insane. Still, it's great inspiration for things to come

All of your previous vehicles and current one look great just like their owner's taste! Love the Rieger kit with the OEM top and that Hamann front! That ARC shift knob though ! Did you run an adapter or a set screw for the BMW shifter?

Just a little update, OEM stubby antenna installed! Yet to color match the bumper, car has been more or less in storage, but wearing some different shoes I didn't think I would ever be a fan of matte black wheels but I have to say, I'm kind of digging the current look
