tiltmode43's Build Thread...
If you would like to check out my X1 build thread please see here -> http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1236023
I'm going to use this thread to chronologically journal the progress of my car. I love hearing what people think of my modifications so feel free to share your thoughts - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm not sure what's in store for the Z4 yet but I do plan to go much more wild than I did with the F30, likely Euro derived but JDM inspired. I plan on retaining the Z4's handling characteristics so won't be slamming it, but do have some cool things in mind. Really excited to start a new build! Here is a brief photo review of my recent vehicles: Name: Matt Car: 2006 Z4M Roadster, Interlagos Blue Flickr: www.flickr.com/inghostcolours (various galleries here) Instagram: violetnites My RX8 definitely went through it's fair share of wheels; Seven sets of Volks ranging from CE's, TE's, RE's, etc, two sets of Enkei RPF1s, Work CR-Kais, Work Meisters, one-off BBS LMs (Reverse lip, for those of you who know wheels), Weds Kranze Bazreias, and more. I imported rare parts from Japan and took the car to a few shows. Here are a few pics, loads more on my Flickr. Time for F30. Build thread can be found here -> http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=810268. Was a fun car. Ended up going though 3 sets of VMRs. No JDM this time around. Next up, picked up a Moto Guzzi V7 to play around with. A few friends have Triumphs, love cruising with our modded vintage style bikes. Don't really have many recent shots of this. Need to get back out there and take some pics! And this lands me at the new toy! As she sits 10/17/14 11/14/15 Installed Rogue exhaust, DKF hangers, R0ME0 red out tail vinyl, and hardtop retrofit kit. Welcome to the club, gorgeous cars but you'll adore the Z4M more than anything else! I just bought my second one, and couldn't he happier. Can't wait to see what else you do to yours!

That is sick! Who did the black chrome for you? Price? I've been thinking of doing EC-7s in anthracite but that black chrome is amazing!!!

Thanks for the comments, everyone! Really excited to begin work on the car. It's getting a new alternator right now, then back to tinkering

I think my wife would start asking me for some fancy bags and shoes whose names I can't pronounce if I tried that. Right now, just my Z and slowly modifying it will suffice. Plus I've got kids to take care of. It wouldn't be fair for me to dump thousands into a build and not put anything away for their college.

Not sure if this is even worth an update in my build thread but sometimes I get excited over even the smallest parts. Just ordered R0ME0's red-out tail overlays

Got the car back and installed the stud conversion, wheels, lug nuts, and lowered the car more. Things to note:
-This pic is maxed out drop for the TC Kline coilovers. The front is decent but rear is still too high. Ultimately, I'd like to drop the front a tad and the rear even more so I'm either going to have to get some slightly shorter springs or go with another coilover kit. -These wheels really suck up the lug nuts! I was considering going with the massive 326 Power lugs but figured those would have been too long but now I'm reconsidering. For now the PBM goldies will do -I don't know how long I'll be able to hold off before the full aero goes on. Now that I've got wheels, the car feels naked without it!
