It would be great when members post pictures they indicate what they used to attach it.

Not going to be using anything permanent for mine.

3M is available in 1/4 wide tape so I will apply 2 strips.
Will post pics when on.

From my experience 3M is the only way to go.
I've used it many times on different cars.

I used it on my aero front end, especially on the upright portions.
Once that stuff sets it's an extremely strong bond.

This piece looks to be a great fit, but if there are any minor gaps you can fill the edge with a little black silicone.
That's what I did when I had the Teckarbon piece on the coupe.

Which 3M double sided tape are all of you going to use? I'm considering:
3M™ Pressure Sensitive Acrylic Plus Tape EX4008, Black, 30 mil

ZeD4MR, can you confirm that the fill section is completely flat and flush along the bottom of the lip, or should we be looking for something a bit thicker to reach the trunk lid?

Hello Skyer spoiler enthusiasts!

This group buy is NOW officially closed and thank you so much for all of your support for this project. I really can't say enough good things about our group of of Z4 owners especially on this forum. It's one of the best forum for this chassis and THE best group of guys/girls I've ever encountered across all other forums I've participated over the years.

We didn't hit 20 participants as the factory requested for the limited production run. Even as a friend, they won't budge due to business reasons which I can totally understand. That is the bad news. The good news is, I bought the mould and the last 4 spoiler spots. We don't call ourselves enthusiasts to make sound financial decisions and I simply can't let all 16 supporters down. I'll sell the remainder on eBay or something.

I'll send out the payment information very soon so please do pay asap. If you haven't received PM/Email in 48 hrs, please send me a PM.

By extending the GB and some luck, the factory is just finishing a six-container order and we can have a production slot starting Dec 1st. So please remit your payment asap. I made an agreement with them that the spoiler will ship out as soon as it's finished. So it'll be sent out per GB list in that order. One of the reason why this is the preferred way, I really don't want to hit X'mas shipping season. I'd love everyone to get their Skyer spoiler before X'mas. As a preventative measure and heard enough horror stories during this time of the year, if your spoiler doesn't get to be shipped before the 10th of Dec, it'll not be shipped until the new year per my instruction. Since all spoilers are hand made, I think this is the best way to ensure the quality and avoid shipping delays or complications.

It is completely filled in and contoured to all the line of the trunk. All the pictures that I posted are simply sitting on the trunk without any adhesive. That is the fitment you'll get. Of course, every trunk is still different in the slightest measurement by a hair but I have come to believe the quality is of the highest possible without custom fitting from car to car.

I don't think anything thicker than what you can get at most of the auto store is necessary. Mine didn't even have any visible gap when just resting on top of the trunk without adhesive.

The 3M tape is very very good now. There're many factory mouldings are installed in such way. It'll usually set in after 24 hours and pressure sensitive. If any adjustment is needed, do it within the first 4 hours. I'd install to cover the perimeter of the bottom of the spoiler. Creating in a weather seal fashion without letting the elements to have a chance to get under the spoiler in anyway. It'll be strong enough for many years to come and still not permanently bonded to the trunk. Can be easily remove without damage in the future.

Thank you!... If there were more than 5, I won't be able to do it. So essentially, this GB is extended. If anyone still interested, I will have 4 left for ZPosters before I let them go else where for an astronomical price..
