Does the tire/wheel warranty make sense?
Greetings to the forum - quick Question if I may please
About to pick up a CPO 328I with sport package for the wife. The stealer wants $1300 for the tire / wheel insurance. Any input on if this makes sense or not? Advertised as one time opportunity at time of purchase. Any direction or input would be most welcome. Thanks |

^i had initially purchased the tire and wheel insurance from bmw for $1500 over 5 years and transferable, but subsequently decided to cancel it considering the quality of roads and such around the area i live. i am very careful about potholes and the oem tires (non run-flats) are significantly less prone to tire/rim damage from potholes than rfts. i'd suggest skipping the insurance even if it is pro-rated (i received almost all my money back) because to break even u'd have to damage all four rims and tires (u can buy a used set with tires for about the same price).
