I don't find the Z4's badge tacky or troublesome when washing and waxing; and I like the 3.0si side badges, denoting to those familiar with these cars that mine is one of the gutsier Z4s. In fact, I find it amusing that folks want to do this at all, especially on the ///M, as it was the most powerful of the E85 machines. But hey - its your car so, whatever makes you happy!
my opinion is this

I feel it's different for 2.5/3.0 vs M since we (M's) already have one on the rear whereas you have "Z4" on the rear and engine size on the sides. It's not as bad IMO as having THREE M Badges on the car. One is more than enough for me

I took badges off a bike once, was a royal pain. Too risky to screw up the paint unless you know what you're doing. IMHO

I like her better with the badges. But its not my car! To me, this is like shaving yer head when you have a full head of hair; I don't get it.

I got rid of my M Badges as soon as I got the car... Too much info IMO.

Two easy steps.........

1)-Floss string the physical badge-(saws right through the foam tape)

2)-Spray some "Goo-gone" on there and wait five minutes and wipe off.
Done !!

Maybe Bimmer glue is more forgiving than Harley glue. It took about 4 hours to get two badges off. What a mess. I tried that technique too.

I'm happy with my badges so won't delete. I think they add a nice classic look against the black paint. I like the chrome grill rings too.

I also think the red coupe above looks better with the badges. It's like seeiing someone with their eyebrows shaved off

Debadge all the way.

Car looks so much cleaner without the badges.

The red coupe looks outstanding without the badges.

Badges.. we don't need no stink'n badges...

Actually, I like the look of the red coupe above. I have been thinking about doing this to mine as well - black without the badges would look cool!

should debadge it, put diamonds all around the M badge and put it on a platinum necklace and let it all hang out

I personally like the badges on the car.

That red one looks hot but the mud guards ruin it for me.

SSummers.....is just the picture lighting....or is the aero side skirts and front cover color hue or metallics off ??

Looks like their pearl choice might have been light.

It's un-noticable in person, not sure why it looks that way in the pics, the pics actually make it look terrible....

The front cover has original paint while the skirts and the rear cover were repainted at the same time.

You can see the color difference in the Dan's Decals reflector covers, but I prefer the small mismatch over the reflectors.

Okay,..so I removed my side badges. Actually tougher on one side badge as it looks like a different glue was used.

I will keep the rear one on for now. But I do like the nakedness of the look on the sides now!
