At first I did not like the rods. I am coming to like them.
I do think the splitter finishes the front end off. The way it should be. |

hey roffle i noticed your rods arent nearly as much on an angle like the other installs, any reason for this or just cosmetic preference?

I noticed that if they're really angled, the rods are almost fully extended, leaving very little room to adjust for downforce, so i did it my way so I don't run out of thread when adjusting it

im totally a noob in the aerodynamic/ downforce department. if at all possible... the splitter perfectlty parralel to the ground is what i'm looking for? or if it happened, would it be better for a slight angle downwards to create proper downforce? i know this seems like a dumb question, but without doing research it seems that angling downward a little bit would be a good option?

Yes angled down will create more downforce.
You can have too much of a good thing though and may upset the balance of the car. With the surface area of this splitter you should have ample DF with the splitter set level.

I try to be as supportive as I can to my fellow Z4 owners, and I appreciate greatly the wonderful feedback I always get about my car but damn.....those rods.

Haha. Like Caddyshk said however, can you paint them matte black? I know they serve a purpose functionally, but it's all I see when I look at the pictures. I think they'd be 100x better painted black.

I don't see why not. I might coat them with a 3m spray on rubber, which should be more chip resistant than regular paint

Then locked the bottom section so they had 7 full turns. When I adjusted them to flatten out the splitter, I only needed two turns. One turn will move the splitter appreciably. |

Was thinking the same thing.
I considered PC but it was too expensive. I have an entirely different plan for mounting mine I'll post em up when done.
