What size is the OEM centercaps?
might want to swap out the centercaps on my new CSL's,
they are OEM wheels from Tischer, I measured them myself, including the opening on my wheels and got 68mm od and 62mm id I did a quick search and found this ISN'T the correct size and OEM size is 70mm? can anyone confirm?

just purchase the full piece which includes the back. it's only a dollar or two more, and won't look cheap ($9-12 each). You can get them from your local dealer
the good part number is 36-13-6-783-536. There's two designs, the old one looks like shit. |

Lemme know if you want to sell your old caps, I do not care about condition (as long as the clips are all good)
I need a set I can experiment on (and possibly ruin lol)

I needed one for my Z4 and walked in to parts dept...gave guy year and sport option and he turned from register and reached into bin and pulled one out...so I guess it is a common item!!! In post above you will note two different style. The newer one has "chrome" outer ring instead of silver. They appear to be able to hold better. No problem with mismatch but someone could crawl around my car on hands and knees looking for problems and spot it. Just under $10. I was very reluctant to trust sizes when ordering outside the dealership to save $4 and get what would become a small ashtray. John
