DDM Tuning Introduces Z4 Black Out Grills, First 5 Next Week
Spoke with Jim Powell @ Apexcone / DDM Tuning and convinced him to bring in some blackout Z4 grills. I know myself and many other Z4 drivers have been dying for a quality replacement that wont chip.
5 sets are being sent over via EMS, they should arrive mid next week and 30 more are on the way shortly after. Price will be roughly 47.50$ Here is a teaser shot from the factory. I'll have shots of them on my car as soon as the first five arrive next week This is not group buy pricing so there will be no wait and no lines. To pre-order or if you guys have any questions, post in this thread, shoot me a PM or call DDM Tuning - 858.565.1742 Open 9AM-5PM PST Thanks |

Fantastic! Im in after I see the pics on your car and approve the look.
My question, these are brand new grills? I swap mine out for these? If so, $47.50 is a wonderful price and I am in!

Black///M: Yes they are brand new, 47.50$ for a pair of grills. Direct replacement, not an overlay.
nmulax: Thanks for your order Adam jra: I talked to Jim about it and there needs to be a large enough interest in it so he can have a mold made. Not sure how many though. |

No prob! Don't think Marcus was expecting calls that soon.
First comment was "wow, you guys move fast... he just posted that 1 minute ago."

The first five grills arrived today and are being shipped out! I believe all five have already been sold; but, we will have more in roughly a week and a half. Thanks Adam, James, Alex, Paul, and Chris your grills are on their way via UPS you should have tracking information as well. I'll try to get my grills installed later today and get you guys some installed pictures. But for now, here's a shot via iPhone. Not great, but better then the first picture. You guys definitely wont be disappointed with the grills.

Couldn't wait till after work to put them in. Cloudy all day in San Diego and stuck with the iPhone so its not a great picture but hopefully it helps you guys that want to see what the grills look like installed. Excuse my brown, bug splattered car. The fitment is great as well and they are very easy to install, no problems.

Haha... I felt the same way.
Just grab the center slats and pull outward and a bit upwards at the same time. Then line up the blackout grill and push it into place.

Here's how I've found works best. Grab a slat on either side (1 in from the edges, etc.) then push upwards and pull the bottom out at the same time. As if the grill was hinged to the top of the bumper, the bottom should swing out first then the top will just fall out once you get the bottom un latched. To reinstall put the top in first all the way then swing the bottom in, press and click.

wow guys. the "lifting it up" trick worked wonders. took about 10 seconds to take both out and put the new 2 in. I recommend anyone to buy them from DDM. I see no reason to buy the same piece from EAS for a 50% markup. Just my opinion. thanks guys, i really like thme!
