Washer fluid on hood

I havent even actuated the windshield washers but have noticed fluid drizzled down the hood of my 07 M coupe. One thread said in exteme heat-( it had been over 30c for over a week,) pressure can build in washer reservoir and force fluid out through nozzles and suggested drilling a vent hole in the cap. Any forum members heard of this before?

Would it make sense to drain off (or spray off) something like 50% of the washer fluid from the washer fluid reservoir?

I actually think topping the reservoir off would possibly be the solution (the air inside is being pressurized, not the fluid). I would do that rather than drill a hole in the cap or top of the reservoir.
