The time has come to part with the “fun car” I have owned the longest at close to 6 years now.

This car has been discussed on this forum a few times with a thread somewhere dedicated to it from over a decade ago I believe.

It now has close to 99k miles. I have 4-5 Blackstone reports for it since I have owned it and those are in fantastic condition. I have not done rod bearings and candidly wouldn’t, based off the Blackstones and experience doing my E90 M3 bearings and finding them to be in perfect condition after 140k miles. But I digress.

I’ll try to do my best to detail the car and the modifications but bare with me, I have had it a long time and may forget things. The car does have a rebuilt title from a front end collision. I found the owner that bought the car and commissioned a full repaint in LSB (NOT A WRAP….to reinforce) and he sent me photos of the paint process and the damage shown. Which didn’t even impact the stock hood. It was front end and drivers side fender. I have had no issues in my time from this. It was my first rebuilt title car but a fully painted LSB was too much to pass up and since then, I realize these cars can be very good.

The car has an airbag light because it has Recaro Pole Position seats with custom P1 alcanta inserts (floor mounted with no sliders). It also has a Renown alcanta wheel with no airbag (I have the stock airbag and wheel, but not seats). The windshield also has a crack and the lower windshield trim is weathered a bit. The plan was to do both of these at the same time but the crack hasn’t bugged me enough to do it.

Here are the mods that were just done this winter at a professional race shop:

-Bilstien PSS10’s
-new OEM strut/shock mounts
-Powerflex FCAB’s slightly stiffer but still streetable
-Turner sealed mono ball RCAB’s
-new motor and trans mounts that are slightly stiffer but very streetable
-ECS stainless brakelines and Motul RBF660
-aggressive street alignment and corner balance
-New Stromung mufflers
-New square Volk TE37SL in Nardo Grey
-New 255 square RE-71RS’s
-P1 inserts for seats
-Condor tall shift knob

Prior to this I did these other items over the last few years:

-Recaro PP ABE’s
-AFE intake
-ECS 2 piece front rotors
-Hawk pads (can’t remember the compound but aggressive street with no squealing)
-wheel stud kit

The car had an APR front splitter and wing when I bought it. The wings clear was flaking and I sold it here years ago but the 6 holes are still in the decklid. I painted plugs and that’s how I have run it for years since I have debated going back to an APR wing again at some point so never wanted to fill them back in just to eventually redrill again later. I kept the front splitter.

Beyond annual oil changes with LiquidMoly this car has needed essentially nothing. When I first got it I had diff/trans/coolant/brakes/oil all flushed and replaced.

I have 6 other cars and this one has been around so long it’s the last one I go for lately and that bums me out. For the money I don’t know there is a better car out there that is as dialed and unique.

Located just outside Jackson Hole WY on the Idaho side, in Driggs. Happy to answer questions, ship, etc. I am not in anyway desperate to sell this. I can store it with a friend if needed. I just won’t give it away so please understand be respectful of that. I try and do very honest and very easy deals. That’s what I expect.

Haven't checked the forum in a while but WOW what a stunner... very tempted but also very hesitant as I've been looking at Z4MRs around the $15k mark

Totally get it. It’s def going to be for the right person that appreciates the color and the modifications.

That was the right decision! Keep enjoying it

BTW, if I may ask… I was just wondering if she was fully painted (including the engine bay, underbody, inside of the cabin, etc), or only outside?

The door sills/trunk sill area etc are all painted. The engine bay is not though.

Hey brother I believe I own the sister car to yours, possibly from the same rebuilder, very similar story. Car was originally black, totaled in the front, rebuilt and painted Laguna Seca Blue. Would love to chat to share stores and I have a few questions for you as well, DMs are open thanks!
