2004 Z4 3.0i with M sports suspension updating question
Hi! I live in Europe, and I have a 2004 Z4 3.0i, factory fitted with M suspension. A Bilstein B4 shock absorber was fitted at the front by the previous owner, the rear may still have the factory shock. I checked Bilstein's site, it seems to me that the B4 is not even suitable for cars with M suspension, the B8 is for these. Unfortunately, both the factory and Bilstein B8 shocks are very expensive, I can almost buy a complete height adjustable MTS tech suspension for the price of 1. Since I use the car exclusively on public roads, I don't really need a high-end suspension. In your opinion, can I use the MTS suspension kit instead of the factory suspension components?
Thanks for help! |

Thanks for your constructive response.
I don't want to buy a part assembled in a Chinese shed, but a product from a European company that has been on the market for several years, with a street licence and a 2-year guarantee. I could afford a more expensive suspension, but they are usually not street legal and not necessarily designed for street use. |

The B8 is the correct choice, Buy once, Cry once as the saying goes.
