Lt-2 vs lt-3 trans fluid 2006 3.0i n52
Sorry to beat a dead horse, is there a bulletin I can’t seem find out there for the correct fluid?
Checked my receipt from servicing the last car and I definitely ordered MTF-LT-2 transmission fluid, as well as redline 75w90 for the diff back in 2015. |

There should be a sticker on the transmission.

Thanks, I forgot about that sticker. Hoping I can see it with a mirror or camera, don't have access to a jack/lift/ramps at the moment. Do you recall if it's on the driver or passenger side?

I can't recall which side of the transmission the sticker is on. Since you have a 2006 it should be MTF-LT-2 according to realoem.

I just did a drain and fill using BMW MTF-LT-2. Shift quality went from good to very good. Quite an improvement compared to the "as-received" shift quality of the car when I bought it last Summer. Pretty sure the fluid that came out was original (89K and sixteen years).
