Same....Small capacitor with the wires taped down the side with ends exposed.....toss it to the next guy that walked into the shop.

At least the distributor on a Ford is at the front of the block....GM was a pain to work on.

I had a couple of cars back in the day that had Mallory dual points ignitions. Those were a PITA.

In the late 80's, I built an optical set of points - used a one piece optical source/detector and built the chopper disk from the end piece of a roll of solder. I had a 1000cc Suzuki SJ410 (smaller engine version of the Jimmy I think they sold here) idling smoothly at 600 RPM.
