A Simple Storage Box Mod...
I have posted this inexpensive and quick 10 minute mod of mine in other forums, but wanted to share it here
.
After looking at the interior of the Z8, and as you face the rear of the car, I had noticed that there is a "Z8" Roundel type emblem that is between the driver and passenger seats, which kind-of looks distinctive.... So I was thinking, what if I had affixed an emblem of some kind in that location as well. Every time that I look into the car from the front looking back, it's too dark &black. There is no aluminium trim or BMW emblems or anything. I was contemplating on affixing either: Here are the pics |

Nice. I thought for a second you made a storage box. That would be a #1 thread. Especially in this car!

If you want something unique, perhaps the shark emblem from roadstersolutions to go there instead of the Z4.
I always liked the shark but I can't bring myself to put 1 on my car. I even bought the emblem and have it around. |

I feel somewhat embarressed asking this, but that compartment that the "Z4"
logo is on, doesn't open up at all on my car (of which I bought used) I havn't fiddled around with it too much, but how do you get it open? thanks for anybody taking the time to answer my idiotic question |

The "button" right below the Z4 in 1st_knight's picture is what you press then the door should drop down. You could have the dealer check it out or have something smooth and small to slightly pry the door as you press the button it may be rubbing somewhere or stuck. Its pretty much the only storage compartment in the car so its important you have access to it, at least in my opinion

I've just put an 'M' logo (flat sticker type from E bay) in the exact same place on my roadster. It's a bit of a drab plastic wasteland between the seats so I thought I'd give it a go especially as I've binned the 'M' badges from the sides of the car. Too fussy for me..
