Drool...Slek Designs makes this one, only thing is you have to buy the whole trunk hatch to get it. I did however reach out to them to see if they could do something.[IMG][/IMG]

I've been looking for a similar spoiler for Z4M coupe for a long time. Did you purchase off their forum? How did the transaction go. Smooth? |

I'm in, my Tekarbon spoiler is nice but I'd like something more prominent and aggressive

Hey Guys been away for the holidays and through what extra money I had into buying a 2004 Tacoma as my daily so I would have to get a family car and sale the coupe... Anyway I am still working on this when it comes to get something made, but as I have stated in the past we first need to come up with a design then get that design drawn up in CAD. It would be nice to have someone on here that can actually put something together in regards to an overall design and then we can get them priced and posted up as an official group buy.
So I think first rule of order is to do a design poll... who knows how to put that on this thread?

I have access to this hand held scanner which can be used to generate a scan of the rear of my Z4 M coupe. We use this scanner at work to do quick benchmarking of cars.
Someone can than use that data to design the spoiler in CAD. Problem is the resolution isn't the greatest. Might be good enough though. https://store.structure.io/store?gcl...XJLBoCNqfw_wcB |

Well, here's a "rough" and i stress the word rough design. I quickly scanned the car as a test and did a 3D model in Catia. Not of the quality that it would need to be to tooled but more used for a visual assessment. The scan resolution is iffy and since i have a Tekarbon spoiler on the car already i couldn't get a "raw scan of the stock condition. With more time i could probably get a more complete scan but not sure if the resolution will ever be good enough frankly. I know how picky i am with fitment and without a high res scan of the car i don't know how the final part will fit to the level that it needs to..........Thoughts on the design?

Here's one with a notch on the rearward tip of the wing. Just a slight variation of the original.
