Carbon leather trim - what is this worth?
Greetings!
Long time lurker here - finally decided to make an account. I have in my posession some very good condition carbon leather trim pieces for a LHD E85 Z4 Roadster - missing the piece around the light switch. They came with the car when I bought it, but I never bothered to fit them. If the price is right - I may sell them. Tried to google a bit to get a feel for how much theese are worth, but the prices vary from 600 Euros to a clouple of thousand bucks. I bet there even is a difference in value wheter or not the leather trim is made for a left hand drive or a right hand drive car. What do you guys think? |

Pretty much no value IMO.
I'll take them off your hands for $100

Complete kits sell quickly for $800-$1000
Sourcing one used piece for switches could be tough, so your potential buyer will likely factor in the price of a new piece when considering your pieces I would guess that you could get $400-$600 dollars if you pieces are in great condition without flaws

If it's mint $700 shipped should be fair. These usually sell for around $1,000, and the light switch piece is available on ebay right now for $270:

Thanks for the replies.
The ones I have is in mint condition, except from the dust on the photos. 700$ should be fair - but I guess it depends on the right buyer. Seeing that there is so few pieces for sale, it may be sellers market at this point. |

Aluminum is cheap. I have seen sets go for as little as $100-200. |

If you are particular about conditon, I would stay away from used aluminum unless you can see it in person after it has been removed. The aluminum damages easily I have had three sets and all have had nick, ptits and or scratch that drove me nuts. Good luck!
