Noisy Driver Window... Please Help!
I've tried the following things:
1) Reset the window height (many times, each time I adjust the window) 2) Open the oval plug at the rear of the door and adjust the 10mm nut so that the regulator rail applies max pressure 3) Adjust door catch ring to make the door shut tighter. 4) Swap molding from another 2003 Z4 (I own 2) 5) Adjust fore/aft position by gaining access to window clamp (this required taking off the door panel arghhhhh) I'm at my wits end! I cannot get a truly quiet ride past 70mph like I can with my other Z4. What other adjustments can I make? I can tell from a "spit test" (where I coat the molding with my spit) that I just need another 1-2mm and I will form a good seal. Does anyone have the window adjustment procedure TIS handy? All those "Spaghetticoder" TIS websites have been taken down. Sad sad sad. Spent 6 hours on this already trying everything.
