REQUEST: E85 SMG ECU Diagram
As the title states,

I was on the E46 M3 board, and someone said that we don't have a trans oil temp sensor. The z4 SMG is not the SMG2 but a different H-SMG similar to the SSG. I am getting the P0700 code. I am going to get my local indy to scan the codes and see what Transmission issue I am experiencing. Probably need a new battery, and a new fluid change. Though, I did one last year...hmm |

Curious as to your present situation.
I BELIEVE the P0700 code on the SMG may indicate failure of the shift mechanism but doesn't specify which component. My car indicated a complete failure a couple years ago which, after further analysis, was cured with a pump replacement. My problem began as intermittent no-shift when under hard use and progressed to failure under normal use. Obviously, low voltage caused by alternator/battery/load issues would play havoc with shifting. |
