My Pictures Always Come Out Dark...
i was taking pictures from my canon rebel xti 400d and all of them came out pretty dark...to the guys with this camera, what settings have you changed to get some better pictures?

what setting are you using
i use av mode most of the time, you should make sure you know how to set and use the metering modes and the exposure setting |

on the manual modes, you can use the dial to set what exposure you want (+1 or -1 or 0 etc] to make things brighter or darker.
in which case, to make it brighter, you either open up the aperture or keep the shutter open for longer there are different modes for metering that you should learn to use. for example, if you take a picture of a person wearing a white shirt, you can use the same exact setting and get dfferent results when you focus on the shirt, the skin, or the hair thats something to keep in mind. |

I'm taking a quick guess and saying your ISO is probably set very low (100 or so) so if it is even remotely dark the pictures will turn out like crap. Try bumping the ISO up to 1000 or so, it may sound high but Canon's are very solid at handling higher ISO speeds. Hope that works!
