Oh. I was wondering what the OP was talking about. Makes sense now.

For those who are interested, here's the link to angry cop's thread: http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=687247
This exhaust mod is probably the best bang-for-the-buck and cleanest out there, however there is one potential and serious problem. Removal of the secondary cats, even though they have no sensors or connection to the ecu, is altering the car's pollution control system. In some states this is an automatic inspection fail regardless of whether or not the vehicle passes the tail pipe test.

If they know the cats are supposed to be there? NE is pretty easy... its rare they even inspect the actual vehicle (beyond the vin plate) here. |

speddmn,
im loving this mod, just curious: still no SES lights or emissions issues?? i am in NC where they just plug up the OBDII scanner, so visual or sniffer is not an issue. has anyone else had this setup put on their Z4?? |

looks like I'm gonna find a local shop to hook me up!! I sympathize with the snow! i spent 5 years in upstate NY in the snow belt.... luckily i didnt have a Z4 at the time. that would have been awful to have had to let it sit in the garage............ |
