enable auto lock problem
so... the problem is my door lock wont lock after I drive off my car like it used to be...may be on 10 km /hr
I think I disable the function by accident when I was trying to figure out how do I close my top after coding. did some research about it on e46 forums, the method is like press lock bottom when car is locked and unlock it manually by key, then the function should be enable...thing is, it doesnt! I also reprogram my key... still not working will be grateful that if any of you could help~~! |

Think dealer can turn this option on. I used carsoft 6.5 on my E46 to turn it on and off but not sure if it would work on the E86 as I don't have the laptop with software on it anymore.

if you have recoded then it sounds like it was accidently disabled. Did the dealer code it or did you do it yourself?

The autolock feature is Currently active on my car now... Have it checked with a friend's coding software. I think I just disable the function by anyhow.(there is a way to enable and disable the function to fit different drivers' desire) I have called many dealerships the dealer SA don't know how to do it.... They all ask me to bring the car in.

Sadly you need the BMW console to enable "lock on drive off". I don't think there's any button combo you can do to enable this.
Dealers want $100-150 to program CKM. Indy's do it as cheap as $75. Search for my posts (I'm on my phone right now) and you'll find my experiences with CKM. You can also enable 3x blink (for changing lanes), disable DRLs, and activate the alarm (if you buy the module). |

Jony, I actually bought this kit from ebay for $36.00 it turned out that some Chinez dude simply makes copies of the CD from P.A BMW.... if P.A would come up with a new version for $200.oo I would buy it... the software kicks azz. With it, I was able to enable the clown nose and the turn signals blink every time I lock the car and I also chose not to blink when unlocking. I disable to auto lock since few friends almost broke my door by pulling the door handle and pushing hard to open the door. I also disable the alarm when you put the key in the ign... and the door is open. I changed my DD lights, I changed the code on my blue-tooth system to my last cell #s.... etc etc. All you need is this
http://www.bmw-scanner.com/?page=bmw..._v140&lang=eng However, it didn't work right away but it was an easy fix to get it to work. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthre...=604828&page=2 Good luck. |
