had one pair of in ear headphones stolen at the gym and the current pair has separated the speaker from the case They are just too good at around $70, i hate being an audiophile! i tried using several different cheap pairs for the gym but im too much of a snob!
Sorry, had to chime in! Back on topic, there are many more 20 somethings in M's than i had thought. |

^ I consider now as good a time as ever to have a car like this - no kids to feed or worry about squeezing in the trunk. That was my thought, to buy it and have it paid off by the time I'll be around family-making age, so I won't have to be one of those "FS: Z4M b/c we're expecting" guys

Saw this very thing end a marriage a while back. Car won though, and my buddy has moved on to someone who loves him and the car. Of course, you can find one who really loves cars and loves to drive too. That does come with a set of expenses (e.g. "my exhaust isn't loud enough....") but it can also be a lot of fun! Aaack! This is causing me all kinds of heartburn. I really wanted to be there this weekend, and keep trying to find a way. Best I think I can do is get away for a couple of hours of art and socializing since the following weekend is going to be taken up with Exhaust 'Fest. Aging parents with health issues just add a lot of complexity to one's life. |

So I'm one of those guys who posted an ad recently because we are expecting and had a local buyer make an offer that was as close to my for sale price as could be...and then I chose to back out of the sale. Why? Because of my wife telling me I would regret it and that I should keep the car. We are getting a third car if the Mini Cooper S we own isn't up to handling baby duty (looking hard right now and just missed out on a great RDX deal)
By the way I'm 31 and a former Chemical Process Engineer turned business development manager for a Japanese chemical firm. Still use my ChE knowledge base in evaluating new business opportunities for my company and trying to stay as techy as I can! |

yep that is a sad ad to read when it occasionally pops up.
True story here: I bought the z4M when our first child was 11 months old. My wife was very cool about it (I married the right one). Now we have a third child on the way. The M is the date car. And when my girls get older it will be the Daddy date car. I'm sure I will take them shopping in it or to lunch. I am being strategic though. Can't fit all that many shopping bags in that trunk, hahahaha. my 5 year old is already tuned in.... she calls it the fun car, and any vert we see, she exclaims "Daddy, see the fun car!" I admit I have taken her on a 5 mph ride through the neighborhood... it's priceless... she can't see anything except the sky, but with her little sunglasses on, it's nothing but smiles and giggles. Not to be too wordy here, but there have been some gorgeous spring weather days here that I have NOT taken the car out on. Why, you ask? (even my wife says, take the car out! DRIVE it!) But my response is this: I will have time to drive it when the girls grow up. Right now we're going to swing on the swing set or go for a bike ride. But on those Sundays when everyone is napping, there is no better sound than of that engine when I start her up. cheers

35 and a college professor. My wife and I are expecting...hoping to still keep the Z. The baby might enjoy top down cruising. But it might prove too impractical. Really depends on if my daily driver (2004 Chevy Malibu) holds out, but it has 182,000 miles on it, so...

22 and in three months I will be reporting to Pensacola, FL to begin flight school.. which will hopefully land me in the cockpit of a MH-60R. USAA offered a career starter loan (better known as the car loan) at a rate that was too good to refuse. After making the loan work for me, and when my beater Eclipse started to go, I was able to make the switch to the M.

Im 27 and a securities litigation attorney. On my second z4mc in two years. Only got to enjoy the first one for about three months before we found out the CPO warranty the car was advertised as having it didnt so much have. On the bright side my jd came in handy, but i was stuck driving an auto e90 335xi for a year.
Just bought gtmule's interlagos z4mc last week and couldn't be happier. That drivers seat just feels like home. |

Figured I'd chime in as well... 31 and a union labor attorney. I'd always wanted a Z4 and when I decided on Law school, the M was going to be the carrot I was chasing.
Of course by the time Law school was done, I had a woman who needed to be consulted, so I proposed one day, and asked if I could buy the M the next. She was in the mood to say yes She now tells folks who comment, well he got me something shiny so we got him something shiny! Good women are hard to find! |

what a great first post/thread! props to the OP!
it's wonderful that one car can bring all us nutters together in one spot. i know there are other forums for other cars, and other completely different products... but ours is the best. eat it, Furby Owners Club! (i'm sure that exists... somewhere)
