ideal setup for daily and track wheels
all,
the OEM zedM rims are great but i want to change things up a bit. i got a set of 19" RGR's from a forum member which i'll use daily. they have the 20mm rear offset so i'm a little weary about how low i can go without rubbing issues. before spring rolls around, i'll get a set of 18" advan RS-D's in matte black. these will be my track wheels. do you think an adjustable coilover setup might be best? considering i would not be able to sit that low with the RGR's and would like to lower on track days. H&R coilovers? or maybe just springs...though i'm not sure how they'll sit with 19x10et20 in the rear. suggestions/advice appreciated. noob status

i'll reframe my question:
i plan on running three sets of wheels and interchanging them often. 19" RGR's for daily. 18" advans for track. OEM should i feel the need. this means i'll likely need to change ride height and stiffness settings often as well. what would be a user friendly setup to make this possible? maybe just H&R coilovers?...but i don't know about their ease of use. in my search i came up with PSS10's being very easy to adjust. they're a little pricey though.

i could. i just really love the RGR's for a daily look. i'm not saying the advans can't be run off the track..but just a 'general' allocation.

10" wide and 20 offset? You'll stick out by a bit unless you roll the rear fenders. I think. Check the official wheel thread
have you mounted them yet?

this is how my car will look before a drop. i think it's manageable without rolling, no? a subtle 1" drop.. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=629084

dude, they're obviously sticking out PAST the fenders. If you lower it an inch, the fender will hit the tire. If you wanna lower it running that setup you either need to roll your fenders, and/or run 265mm in the back

The rim is not the problem, its the square side wall of the Michelin Pilot A/S that you're running. I'm currently running 19X10 witih a 20 offset (275/30) with no rubbing (more than a one inch drop) on and off the track.

Why would you EVER want to change the ride-height once it's been set properly? If you change the ride height between each wheels you'll have to get it re-aligned and re-corner balanced each time otherwise the car will handle like sh*t.
IF the biggest concern is over the 19" RGRs, set your ride height for that wheel, get the car corner balanced and aligned, and leave it alone for the track and the other set of wheels and tires and adjust camber up front accordingly for various use. Unless your getting coil overs for stance and looks only.

Different tires will fit better. My hankook v12 are great for the street, and don't buldge out past the rim at all.
