Aero Bumper
I'm thinking of getting an aero bumper from getbmwparts.com. It's down to $450 now. Does anyone have pics of it on their car without the side skirts? Or will just having the bumper without the side skirts look terrible?

I have the aero bumper without the side skirts and I like the way it looks, I just not feel paying more than 500 just for a pair of side skirts, that the majority of the people would not notice

I'm sold on it. Will be ordering mine soon. That looks pretty hot. So the actual fog lights come with the bumper as well?

Cost to install?
Can anyone give me an estimate as to how much the aero bumper should cost to paint and install? I'd like to compare with what the local guys quote me. Thanks!

it depends what bodyshop you go, for mine I bought the paint myself I paid 60 dlls for it and 150 for the labor, but when I went to the body shops to get a quote, they quote me 700 dlls just to paint the bumper...

the shop that painted mine charged $460, including the two-tone paint.
i installed it myself using the aero kit install intructions (any dealer can print these for you)... it took about an hour to remove the old, then prep and install the new.

Just FYI, you can get the aero bumper all day everday at eagleday.com for $439 regular price, entertaining the idea of this one myself over the m bumper. Its just really hard for me to tell what its gonna look like without seeing it in person cause the m in pictures looks somewhat wider than the aero bumper and i def like that. Someones gotta post some dead on pictures!

Does the aero bumper have cutouts for brake ducts or provisions for some sort of brake cooling. I know the M bumper has those fairly useless holes in front of the wheels, which sort of cool the brakes.

this is the only one i have... unfortunately it's not a very good shot.
nope... no ducts. i've been working on a solution for that, but have been short on free time recently. hopefully i'll have something viable soon. the main issue is the clearance behind the foglamp... in order to fit any sort of duct, either it would need to have some 90* angles, or the foglamp needs to be removed. i think it's very doable as there is a lot of room on all sides of the fog, but the exact routing is a little iffy at the moment.

Check eBay for used z4m bumpers. I've seen them there in the recent past.
