im probably going to get flamed for this but hey...
how about throwing a shim set on your car and going as agreesive as possible on stock suspension, i am very leased with my stock suspended car with -2.5 camber, currently @ 11k miles i feel it a waste of money throwing out barely used dampers/springs, after these go bad i will look at KW v3 but until then im MORE than happy with the stock items, infact they behave best on a smooth track..... like you i have no desire for lowering like you... my 2p worth.....

Thanks a lot for your help guys.
The reason I am looking to change to a set of CO is that my shocks sooner or later will be on the way out especially on the heavily patched roads in my country (37K miles on the car (stock)) and I don't like the behavior of progressive springs. I prefer Linear springs. so i will need to change the shocks, probably aftermarket or something, and the springs will go for higher rate linear spring since i like firm rides. It is better to buy a CO set rather than exchange shocks and springs. I like no body roll cars so much, my car feels a tiny bit unstable when I'm doing 100+mph turns and i don't like that. I am not into track dedicated COs but rather a good street/Track CO. Thanks again for the help, I have learned so much already. Regarding the double / single adjustability, what do you recommend for my Z4M if i were to have UNadjustable COs for the sake of having better quality components for the price difference (the price cost of adjustability) |

I drove my friend's e46 M3 with Bilstein PSS10 and let me tell you that it was simply magic.
I did not believe that this kind of handling was possible on a car. |

If your MZ4 isn't "stable" at 100mph then there is something wrong with it that coil overs probably won't fix. I've driven mine up to as high as 140mph in a straight line and 125mph in a banked turn and it's as steady as a freakin' rock.

+1 for what Hack says.. I have had mine up to 153 at the track and its like taking a Sunday drive....
And why would having more power on the car (Beebub's) automatically need an upgraded suspension? |

I know that slightly unstable feeling at 100+. On less than perfect surfaces (i.e., choppy country backroads), the car with stock suspension can feel a little floaty at high speeds*, particularly through corners. It's not your tires (assuming they're properly inflated) or the lack of an aftermarket strut bar (unless you're saying you removed the stock one?). And it's not a roadster vs coupe issue as I encounter it with my car too.
I think I'm wondering the same thing you are: are H&Rs good enough for occasional track days/aggressive driving or are they simply a lowering/show setup? I for one wouldn't mind saving ~$500 over the next step up (GC). *High speeds where appropriate of course, not condoning hauling ass in populated areas.

Never mind folks just tested some turns on 125 mph --> steady as a freaking rock.
I think it was a placebo effect. Maybe I hit a patched up road in a high speed run, could have been the reason why i felt like that. Back to the topic, GC or TC Kline S/A street/track/daily driver (patched up roads/potholed/bumped up and sloped, anyone been to beirut, Lebanon?), experiences people. PS: I fucking love my car, i will thereby honor it with the nickname "stress dumper" |

Any reviews about the FK suspensions?
I am thinking these are great. What about the silverline Plus X CO. It seems that it has linear springs and monotube KONI shocks. If anyone has them installed, please do chime in |

I just installed the H&R Setup and ran through HWY 30 and 26 here in Oregon and I must say they held their own compared to my M3 with KW V3. Not a full review but did push the car. I would have torn through here with my NSX and S2000 when they were setup but this is just fine for daily driving. My Moton and Aragosta ($4000+ setups) also were really good. Way to much money, even for what they offer. I had my doubts about the H&R street setup and I am content for now. I daily drive my car to work and on long drives until my M3 is back on the road.

hi tika yes my car is on completly bone stock suspension with the rsm mounts and camber shim kit set to -2.5, as the car is only on 11k miles, i felt it silly and wasteful to not try and get the best out of the stock setup, once these go even slightly worn ill replace but honestly i find the stock suspension Very good with an agressive setup, add a proper BBK front and rear which massively reduced my dive under heavy braking i am very happy with the stock setup......

One last thing I might add about the H&R setup... While HPF's was installing them they noticed that they were stamped Bilstein on all 4 pieces.... Not sure if that has been disclosed already. I have always had Japanese setups so that was weird to see.
