Rennline Heel / Toe Extension Pedal Set

My one complaint with the stock pedals is not so much the distance apart between clutch & gas but the fact the gas pedal is lower than the clutch pedals. I know Ultimate Pedals makes a nice heel/toe pedal set but it doesn't address the uneven height issue.

So I decided to test out the Rennline pedals. The only difficult part of the install was clutch pedal as curvature of the clutch pedal isn't the same as the backing off the Rennline pedal. Also, I ordered their 4 pedal set but turns out their deadpedal is about 1/2" too wide (and they had no problems taking it back and issuing a credit).

I have to say I'm very happy with not only the looks of the pedal, but the functionality as well. The silver/red goes well with my interior (brushed alum, dream red leather) but heel/toe is SO easy with these. I was able to adjust the gas pedal such that it is same height as clutch, and the extension pedals allow me to heel/toe without having to twist my ankle. I can press both brake/gas sametime with my foot pointing straight. Only downside is that they were quite pricey... guess P-car owners have it bad when it comes paying for mods (I miss the days of modding my V-dub, haha).

Funny thing is I knew that was the case even for the BMW catalog items but Rennline advertised this as Z4 specific, so figured they must've test fitted it. But I've bought other minor things from them, and their really good about maintaining a high level of customer service. They sent me a UPS label to take back the dead pedal and said they'd issue me a credit so I'm satisfied...

One thing I noticed on your pedals, the shade of aluminum and surface combined with the domed rubber inserts appears to be a good match for the smooth finish Ultimate pedals deadpedal.................... and they can do the same rubber inserts you have. Might be an option if you want to match as closely as possible. My deadpedal from them is a perfect fit

IMO they do somewhat.
The OE rubber clutch & brake pads come off to install teh Ultimates
But the gas goes on top of the OE pedal, so it does make up some of the difference.
I'm guessing the Rennlines are the same????
I really like the pedal shape of the Rennlines

I agree with what you're saying on the pedal heights for street use.
I found that on the track, where you go much deeper into the brakes, the OE heights work best.

I had the Ultimates on my M roady but haven't bothered with pedals on the M Coupe (yet)
The one thing I miss with a good pedal set is better feedback that the solid metal provides, especially for brake modulation.

Thanks!

The Redline pedals actually have a screw in between that lets you play with the height, fully adjustable to 1":

I like that!
That looks like a well engineered design.

..so you could actually use one height for street & adjust for track

Thanks

Isn't this an extra $45 part? I don't think the pedal set comes with the lift plate. It is extra, like the heel/toe extensions.

"This is only the lifter plate assembly, Pedal cover and extensions are not included with this kit."

Correct, I ordered the lift plates in addition to the kit.

Thanks for the 2nd link but still wouldn't have known otherwise that the dead pedal didnt fit until I ordered the set. Good info for those who are interested though...

I like the look of the black finish, I wonder how durable the finish is.....
I also didn't see the option to exclude the dead pedal.

I think I'll get in touch with them & see.
