Exclamation Help! Lost blutooth PIN code!

Somehow, I lost the PIN code for my bluetooth in my car. I have an 06 Z4 Roadter 3.0si

Can anyone tell me how I can find the PIN code? BMW service told me to pop the trunk, and on the left hand side of the battery I have to take something off, and underneath it there will be a box with a PK number on it and that is my PIN code. However I have no idea how to get to this box, or what to take off. Your help is always appreciated it

Sally to get to the box you will need to remove a bit of the carpet in your trunk. See this link to do that. In the very last pic the little silver box on the bottom left is the Telematics Control Unit. It should have the Passkey on it.

Once you get the carpet up and out of the way the Bluetooth module should be on the left up against the wall. See the pics in this link for what the TCU looks like once you pull that black bracket off the wall:

Or you can go to the dealer. They can pull it up with their computer. Most will want to charge you for it, $50-100.

Good luck

do you know the original dealer where the car was bought from? If you do, you can call and they have that on file

I was able to pop off the subwoofwer grill behind the drivers seat (plastic spatula removal tool) and look through to the TCU module to read the PK #. Beat the heck out of carpet removal

Thanks guys, I will definitely start pulling carpet off or popping off subwoofer grills as soon as I get time.

I love having the cell piped through the car - hands stay on the wheel, eyes stay on the road. Its Awesome.
