SoCalZ's go to Juilian

The San Diego group is headed to Juilian tomorrow.

Short notice, I know, I did not hear about it until today myself.

Meeting place: The Church at Rancho Bernardo parking lot.
1740 Bernardo Plaza Court
San Diego, CA 92128

They will meet and greet at 7:30 and start the drive at 8:00.

I will be leaving OC at 6:00 headed down the 5 south to the 78 east to the 15 south. Anyone wishing to caravan let me know.

i was on San Diego beach like 70 degree weather...hour later, i was in Julian with 35 degree temp and snow covered ground

You know the place well. We will be stopping at Dudley's for some take home! We will most likely stop at Palomar on the way home for some snow pics as well.

the only place i know lol I went out on a vacation out there with my buddy and we were like LOOK THERE IS SNOW OVER THERE LETS GO and there we went lol

I sure can post some pics. I am not too sure there will be snow or not, the temps have been in the mid 70's for the last 4 days.

Damn short notice, my car is in the shop right now dropped it off yesterday, prob wont have it till Sat night! I live like 5 mins from the Church @ RB! Where did this drive originated? Sucks I have to miss it, pictures!

Started the day at 65 deg. with a short meet and greet. Everyone was there on time.

Headed towards Julian.

Six cars and four of us had tops down and enjoying the great day. I had a can opener for the other two, however they opted to just drop the windows.

Arrived in Julian about 1.5 hours later.

We had breakfast at Julian Cafe. Talk about a huge plate of food.

Out past Lake Henshaw.

Headed back to San Diego.

Temps were 65 when started and 78 at the end of the day at about 1:00.

Great day and wonderful people.

Did I mention the apple pie. MMMMMMM

Blue ///M is randy from San Diego. He is aware of ///M fest.

The Viper belongs to Morgan, she tagged along from church. She knowshow to drive that beast as well.

It was a very spur of the moment type drive. Found out about it on Friday and happening the next day.

There were no performance awards recieved.

We travel on "c" class roads as much as possibable. Just need to watch out for the tractors.

I was just up driving those roads yesterday on an Acura launch. Got to ride a sailplane out of Warner Springs--won't be doing that again! Wished I was in the M Coupe and not a midsize FF sedan--as nice as it was.
