Aftermarkt HU with Premium Audio

just wanted to let you all know. Does not work with CARVER aka TOP HI FI audio system.

oh i had to pack it back up cuz of dead pixel. I'm gonna put in a inDash DVD so i can be entertained

I just ordered a wiring kit from ebay ones used for BMW 3 series and antenna converter adapter(on order gave me the REVERSE one) and I haven't really put together the dash kit yet. but it's from scosche

I just wanted to see if it would work cuz GP20 said it woudln't work for years.

oh and AMP TURN ON wire needs to be hooked up to PIN 13(power antenna...even tho we don't have power antenna) for the amp to turn on. I believe ....

I didn't have this wire hooked up and no sound...but when i did, LOUD AND CLEAR sound on all 10 Speakers

How do you tell which stereo system you have? I'm not sure whats in my 05, premium package, no idea about specific sound system tho.

I'm just starting to consider upgrading, probably a flipout as well.

if you have the equalizer, you have CARVER system
if not then just a stabdard premium audio.

I'm going to keep asking the stupid questions...

I'm assuming the equalizer is electronic, how would i access it in the menu? Just want to know how to confirm what I have. My car came with no manuals or option lists or anything.

honestly i couldn't tell ya. if you have DSP or w/e ...i dunno someone else can chime in...OR go in the DIY section for explanation of the different audio system. Its on the first page towards the bottom

I'll be burning DVD"s for a while
