check your diff for slow leak
I recently had the LSD fluid changed to Redline and the Indy shop noticed it wet around the input shaft seal ---- a common thing on the Var. M diff. lock? see this thread....E46fans M3 forum
There has never been one drop on the garage floor. Not one. Should I pay for seal surgery or just top it off regularly? The car is low mileage and the diff fluid was full when it was changed out. Anyone else see this yet on their M? Anyone change seals only to see it seep again?

I had a very small amount of diff fluid on the input shaft when I was changing my diff fluid to Redline. I wiped it off with a paper towel about 4000 miles ago. Just checked it and its still dry.

Mine is nice and dry after the repair work was done (and that's with three track days on top of some normal driving).

Inspected under the car tonight. The area is not dripping or wet, so I think it's a non-issue. The service guys think the LSD was overfilled prior and that caused the excess fluid to find it's way out. With the correct level of Redline, it is good to go.

After 100k miles you still wouldn't have low fluid. Ignore it, or have it fixed if you want (and possibly make more problems by doing so)
