I agree with you, but since this is a forum, there are NO solid buyers...

95% of everyone who chimes in saying "I'm In", is really not and just blowing smoke. That's just the realities of life on the forum.

Be patient.
I have no life outside of the forum, but my pregnant wife pulled me out of the cave (garage) to make the family rounds for the holidays. The funny thing is, no one wanted to hear about the car project; It was all talk about the baby

I'm sure the guys at DKF wanted me to continue testing through the Holidays, but they were cool & and understood my holiday schedule would be busy. I can tell you that they have been receptive to my feedback so far. They are working on the tip length, finalizing the street mufflers and taking care of hardware/fitment finalization.

This is true. DKF is working on the finishing touches based on my feedback from installation and based on everyones feedback from the post.
February would be the latest they would want to start the GB; the timeline I mentioned in post #95 is pretty solid

Yep, DKF deliberately put some time between the Holiday season and the GB to make the finishing touches based on our feedback, give people time to consider the testing results and recoup from holiday spending

Tip Feedback

Time for tip length feedback before the final set-up.

Keep in mind the Tips grow .75" when the car is up to running temperature.

Right now the tips protrude 1.25" past the bumper cold. The choice is between .5" and .75" protrusion passed the bumper. I have taped off the driver’s side tip for .5" protrusion and the passenger side for .75" it give some sort of a visual idea.

Right now I am leaning toward .5"
Check it out and add your opinion

I like the looks of .5, but when the car's hot then it will be sticking out 1.75 right?

Have you considered even less for cold, like .25 or flush?

On NA cars it should grow between .25" and .5" (this is has been confirmed on the DKF car), so you would end up between .75" and 1"

FI cars seem to be running hotter EGT's and as a result the exhaust gorws betwwen .5" and .75" (this is what I am finding on my car), so I would end up with between 1" and 1.25" when hot

Be great to have the tips angled to match the profile of the bumper.

and of course at no more than .5"

I like the angled tips also, but they'd have to be flush. ITT we're getting the tips down to .5~.75" of length protruding from the bumper.

DKF Dynos!

DKF sent me the Dyno results for their N/A car. The nubers are wheel horse power.

-The first file represents their average stock runs
-The second file represents average runs with their full system + Active Auto Headers (NO TUNE) runs

This is Dio's red Z4M coupe. DKF is planning to add a tune to maximize the systems potential. The numbers look really good so far. I am looking forward to seeing what the systme can do for my FI car

I got a message from the local shop where I get my work done saying that his Red Z4M was at the shop. I was so bummed out that I was tied up at the moment and couldn't make it out there to hear his car.

Those are nice gains! I am looking forward to seeing the gains on your car as well.
