Seems like there would be if this issue were widespread at all.

Yep they were grade 8.8 bolts and were in fact torqued to 12 Nm when installed.

No problems but will have the dealer take a look and see if they'll perform service since there's a TSB issued. My ///M has under 20K miles on it.

Resurrecting an ancient thread. Would you guys consider it a good idea to do bolt replacement as preventative maintenance? My M was built June 21st 06.

As a followup question, does anyone know any shops in the bay area that you would recommend? Looks like this is not a DIY job, despite people doing it successfully.
