My clayed and waxed Imola/Imola Z4MR
Spent several hours claying and waxing the M and took it out for a little photo shoot with my photographer friend. Here's a link to his Flickr set.

Looking good. Paint prep work is where it's at. Wax is really just the final touch. The claying, polishing etc always brings out the awesome results when done properly.
Very cool shot - and clean looking hood |

I put on NXT 2.0 last week for the first time and it was pretty impressive. What I noticed was that it looked better after I let it cure a while - did that happen with you?

Yup, same effect for me. After it cured, it almost felt like the car had a smooth, hard shell protecting the paint.

Claying is easy. You just have to remember it removes all wax so you need to at least do a wax after a claying. |

1. Wash the car with dawn liquid soap solution. Yes - I said dawn. 2. Clay the car according to the proper technique (keep folding in the clay, and keep the paint surface wet -- either with soapy solution, or with quick detail spray). Whatever you do - DON'T drop the clay on the ground! If you do, throw it away. Trust me on this one! 3. After you have clayed, use a good polish. 4. After polishing - THEN use wax, or the NX product. You will have a slick surface that will be like glass with cooking oil on it with a deep, clean shine! Doug |
